• In the seminar we teach the content of the official ISTQB® curriculum. Our trainers also present you with as many practical examples as possible so that you can easily apply what you have learned later.

I. Test process
Test planning, test control, test monitoring, test analysis, test design, test implementation, test execution, evaluation of end criteria and report, completion of test activities

II. Test management
Test management in context, risk-oriented testing and other approaches to test prioritization and effort allocation, test documentation, test effort estimation, test metrics, added value of testing, distributed testing, outsourcing and insourcing, application of industry standards

III. Reviews
Management reviews and audits, management of reviews, metrics for reviews, management of formal reviews

IV. Error management
Error lifecycle and the software lifecycle, information in the error report or error message, evaluating process maturity based on the error report information

V. Improving the test process
The test improvement process, improving the test process – with TMMI, with TPI Next, with CTP, with STEP

VI. Test tools and automation
Selection of tools – e.g. profitability, selection process, open source and customized, tool lifecycle, tool metrics

VII. Social skills and team composition
Individual skills, dynamics in the test team, establishing testing in the organizational structure, motivation, communication

• 5 days (including certification exam)

• Reading the curriculum:
  Der  ISTQB® CTAL-TAE curriculum is the basis for passing the exam.

• Software testing knowledge and practical experience in IT projects are prerequisites for participation in order to ensure a deeper understanding of the content.
• In order to receive the certification as “ISTQB® Certified Tester Advanced Level – Test Manager”, in addition to the successful final examination, the basic certificate is required „ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level“ at least 18 months of practical experience in the field of software testing.

• Taking the exam is optional. We assume that you would like to take the ISTQB® CTAL-TM Test Manager exam after the training. Please let us know when you book the course if you do not want to do this.
• With the certification, you become a member of the global community of over 673,000 certified testers in over 100 countries. With the certificate, you have independent proof of your testing expertise, which is expected by most contractors and employers in professional practice.

• The price includes all meals, resources and complete course documentation.
  The price does not include the exam fee, as although we organize the exam, the price varies depending on the exam organization. We will therefore pass these costs on directly.
